Hey Everybody! How I miss your smiles and big hugs these days. I hope this finds you safe, well, and grateful.
How can I be of service? That's the question I keep coming back to right now. In the beginning of quarantine, it was our natural inclination to maintain what we knew and maybe keep doing what we were accustomed to until, for some of us, it was impossible to maintain status quo. Perhaps your hours were cut or you were asked to work from home while balancing your children's school responsibilities. Maybe you faced decisions such as keeping your immediate family at distance or in separation from those that you've never known those dynamics with. Either way, one thing became reality; nothing would compare to this experience, and nothing could prepare us for this time.
Here's what I've found to be comforting in this abyss of change. It's certain, unavoidable, and beautiful. If given the opportunity, all things can be seen as a blessing. You've heard me say this countless times: You can look at everything as though it is a miracle or you can look at nothing as though it is a miracle. Change is something that can shift us into a place of unease and if you find that to be a sensation you can relate to in this time then I invite you back to your mat.
Let's create the scene in our imagination: Glorious you, your yoga mat, a few of your favorite books, some blocks and a strap, scarf, or belt, a candle, some incense or oil, a pillow or cushion, a blanket, and your journal and favorite pencil. This is your oasis. Can you picture the setting for your private rejuvenation space, your at-home retreat, and your ultimate materialization of mind-body-spirit connection? I encourage you to treat yourself to this vision turned reality. Not only will you quiet any discontent, but you'll foster your growth in all the ways that speak to unique, exquisite you.
I hope you've found the virtual classroom @ seasofcompassionyoga.com. It is loaded with plenty of free yoga flows, including Vinyasa, Restorative, Gentle, Meditaiton, and Yoga Nidra.
As I continue to shift my vision toward how I can be of service, know that I am here to support you in these times and that you'll have access to these videos free of charge for as long as these times linger. Remember that you don't have to have all the answers my dear friends, all you have to do is keep going. Keep trusting. I love you all so very much.
See you soon!
xx,
Amanda
